How you can participate
Join our activities
Attend a spiritual care seminar or study group for professionals
working in health care related fields. You can also volunteer to
help develop our activities in your country or region.
Invite us to give a seminar
We offer public talks, in-service trainings and one and two-day seminars.
Some of the key topics and themes include: Being Present with Death,
Care for Caregivers, Healing Bereavement, Preparing for Death, and Spiritual
Practices for Caregivers. Get in touch with the
national director in your country
to find out more.
Make a contribution
The Spiritual Care Program is a department of Rigpa, a registered
non-profit (charitiable) organization, run almost entirely by volunteers.
Donations are the main support for our work. If you would like to make
a donation, the
national director in your
country can describe the program's offerings, funding needs, and legal status
for tax purposes. The
international office of
Spiritual Care also gratefully welcomes any donations to support our work.
Follow links to Amazon
By following links to Amazon.com on pages in the
Resources section of our website you can help
raise money to support our work. Each time you purchase books and other
items directly after following links from our website, we receive a portion
of what you paid.
Also, by bookmarking pages on Amazon (or adding them to your "Favorites")
after following links from our site, and using these bookmarks to access Amazon in
the future, you can continue supporting us, without even coming to the site.
Send us your story
Do you have a personal experience that could inspire others? If some aspect
of the spiritual insights or practices presented here, in The
Tibetan Book of Living and Dying,
Facing Death and Finding Hope, or at any of our seminars
and events have supported you or a friend facing death, please send it to us by
email at
stories@spcare.org or
by postal mail to our
address in Ireland. You may offer
your story anonymously, but please include your name and address if you are
open to having your anecdote published.
Keep checking back
Bookmark our website (or add it to your "Favorites" list) and
keep checking back to see new events listings, spiritual practices, stories,
and articles. As the site develops, we hope to be able to address many of
your questions and important issues, so please be patient if the site does
not answer your questions immediately. To help you find answers to your needs,
please see our list of
recommended websites,
books, and other resources. Unfortunately,
since we are a small organization, we cannot answer questions personally.
