Study group Spiritual Care

A ten-day training for professional and volunteer healthcare workers.

Amsterdam: Start in Januari 2013

In this ten-day training we develop awareness, authenticity and compassion by practicing
  • In real listening and communicating
We learn to deepen these qualities in us, so that a genuine connection with both the sick or dying as his or her relatives may arise
  • With spiritual practices
Through contemplation, meditation and visualization, we learn to excite loving kindness, openness, attention and compassion within ourselves
  • In preparation for own death
Our own fear of death to face, we learn the concerns and needs, feelings and beliefs of others acknowledge, allowing us more understanding and ability to provide care and guidance.
This training is based on the Tibetan Book of Living and Dying by Sogyal Rinpoche and Facing Death and Finding Hope, by Christine Longaker.

The ten days are on Saturday once every four weeks.

Amsterdam: a new training will start in September.
