Understanding the journey and opportunities of grief, and methods for healing grief from any type of loss

Grief is a natural response when someone close to us dies, yet so often we are completely unprepared for the feelings of intense sadness, shock, anger or guilt we may experience. Looking for a way to heal our sorrow and distress, we may recognize the need for a deeper spiritual perspective. Even in the midst of deep suffering and pain, our lives are rich with the potential for growth.

This seminar is an opportunity to join with others in honouring and exploring the process of grieving. We will focus on understanding and healing the personal experience of grief through reflection, meditation and compassion practices.

The three-day seminar includes:

  • The spiritual dimension of death
  • The process of bereavement: Letting go with love
  • Methods for healing unfinished business
  • Supporting others who are grieving
  • Integrating loss, and finding meaning in life
  • Compassion practices for the bereaved
  • Spiritual practices for supporting the deceased
