Cultivating Mindfulness and Awareness in End-of-Life Care

Blooms in sunshine

An 8-week online training that can be taken as a stand alone course or as part of the Certificate in Contemplative End-of-Life Care Program.

The course offers time-tested and practical contemplative methods in a way that is accessible for contemporary health care. Participants will learn and experience mindfulness and meditation techniques, along with their practical application in self-care, therapeutic relationships, communication and working in care teams.

Through these methods, we develop inner resources that support self-care and our capacity for being present with another. In this atmosphere of acceptance and genuine compassion, patients and families can reconnect with their own sources of strength, meaning and hope.

With presentations by Christine Longaker, Ann Allegre MD, Kirsten DeLeo, Karen Wyatt, MD and John Eric Baugher, PhD.
